Mebetoys Model #A-109, Mebetoys Dyane Cross

The Dyane was built by the French Citroën company between 1967 and 1983. The Dyane was based on aging Citroën 2CV. Citroën produced four million Dyanes. The Dyane was designed by Citroën's to compete in sales with the Renault 4. The 1961 Renault 4 rapidly took sales away from the 2CV. The Dyane’s was equipped with an air-cooled 435 cc engine. This Mebetoys series model first appeared in the 1978 Italian catalog. It used the Citroën Dyane, Mebetoys Model #A-84, as its base casting.
