Mebetoys Model #A-98, Fiat 131 Rally

The Fiat 131 “Mirafiori” was produced by Fiat between 1974 and 1984. It replaced the Fiat 125. The name “Mirafiori”, came from the factory where the Fiat 131 was built. The Fiat 131 came with either a 1.3 liter or 1.6 liter Single Over Head Cam (SOHC) engine.Starting in 1978, Fiat produced a racing version of the Mirafiori called “Super-Mirafiori.” The Super-Mirafiori, also known as the Fiat 131 Racing or Rally were equipped with Dual Over Head Cam (DOHC) engines. This Mebetoys series model appeared in the 1977 Mattel Italian Christmas catalog and the mid-1970s Mebetoys catalog. This model used the Mebetoys Fiat 131 Mirafiori, Model #A-85, as the base casting.
